Skills4Reuse webinar

Webinar: Strengthening Skills for Reusing Construction Materials

01june

We invite you to join a one-hour online webinar on strengthening the skills needed to reuse construction materials. Reuse is an effective way to reduce the environmental impact of the construction sector and preserve natural resources. Skills4Reuse is an online educational website on reuse of construction materials, offering practical learning material for vocational schools, educators and practitioners. The webinar introduces the educational material on reusing construction material, shows how it can be used in teaching and real-world practice, and gives space for questions and input from participants.

The transition to a circular economy in the construction sector is not only a technical challenge but also a skills challenge. To identify reusable materials, assess their potential and integrate them safely and effectively into new projects, competencies need to be updated across the entire value chain. Skills4Reuse have been developed to support this by providing accessible learning materials on how construction materials can be reused in practice.

The webinar offers a guided introduction to the Skills4Reuse material and the structure of the website, including examples of how the modules can be used. Input from relevant stakeholders may be included (to be confirmed) but the main focus is on knowledge sharing and dialogue.

The webinar is for teachers at vocational schools, other educators, practitioners in the construction sector and anyone interested in learning more about reusing construction materials.

Participants are encouraged to bring questions, ideas and perspectives on how we can strengthen reuse practices together.
